GPP Crusade No. 16--Journal Your Blog

The title says it all---basically journal your blog on paper. Simple yet something I haven't done.

In under the wire again. As soon as I read the theme for this month's Green Pepper Press Street Team crusade I knew the exact post I wanted to put down on paper. I don't keep a journal so I thought a scrapbook layout would be the next best thing. This is a simple layout but it is exactly what I want Taylor to realize years from now. She is so smart-so ahead academically yet challenged in other areas. We are working through so many issues and we are both learning lessons along the way.

The post which inspired this layout is here. I decided to focus on the most important point of that particular post. I do not know where life will go from here for her/us and I don't feel like writing down in black and white the obstacles she had/has to overcome. I fully intend those obstacles to be a part of our past. NO----they will be part of our past. I know people out there are thinking I'm crazy for saying so but we will and are beating this. I am damn determined.

Michelle - thanks for getting in on this Crusade. Love that you chose to make a scrapbook page that was inspired by your blog post. Both the blog from October and this page are so touching. Looks like a journal page to me :)

I'm of the same camp as you - I stopped writing things in the official baby book. It wasn't denial, it was something else, not sure what. I did start writing things down in a different book, and I'm glad I did because there was so much growth, and so many little details that I'm sure I would have forgotten them by now as it feels like a lifetime ago. Now that Sam is almost 16 I can tuck the second book in with the baby book because I am so proud of the ground we've covered.

So proud of your determination Michelle!! The sentiment on your page is perfect.

Hi Michelle... What a beautiful little girl... I'm so glad I read your original post, the one that inspired this piece... you have a great mind set and way of looking at the challenges you face... and you will get through this, one day at a time... so much wisdom in what "she's telling you"... really lovely, so glad you shared with us. All my best, K.

you know they do teach a mountain of things to us.
and that picture - well she is just adorable. I wonder if you'll keep on doing a whole scrapbook of your thoughts - just like this. i think that would be wonderful :-)

An Unheard Lady GaGa Song was Dug Up this evening with no traces of where it originated from.
Some say that it was leaked from GaGa's Record Label's headquarters.
